The Israeli Diamond Industry Recovery Continues
8 July 2010 - The Israeli Diamond Industry is showing clear-cut signs of recovery, according to half-yearly figures published by the Israel Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor’s Diamond Controller Shmuel Mordechai. In this period, exports and imports of polished and rough diamonds jumped by an average of 104% over the first half of 2009.

"Keshi" cultured pearls are entering the natural pearl trade
26 May 2010 - The Swiss Gemmological Insititute SSEF has received large quantities of saltwater pearls for certification in recent weeks. SSEF director Dr. Michael S. Krzemnicki said these pearls are generally characterised by an almost perfect appearance and are often accompanied by reports describing them as natural pearls.
