Nouvelle Bague presents Giardini di Boboli Collection

May 2013

Just as the Boboli Gardens set the standard for Italian 16th-‐Century gardens, so Nouvelle Bague stand for the highest quality in handcrafted enamelled jewellery in gold and diamonds, having their roots in Florence: the cradle of the Renaissance and of Italian art.

Nouvelle Bague presents the new Boboli collection as a tribute to the wonderful historic gardens that are the reference model for Italian villas and the Italian formal garden, and which are located in the heart of Florence, the birthplace of the brand.

Skilled Florentine goldsmiths have created a line of handmade jewellery in gold and diamonds, combined with high-‐impact coloured enamelling. Colours have always been an important element in the brand’s philosophy, and wonderful colour combinations stand out: black with burgundy, and bright green combined with white, and everything decorated with gold and diamonds.

The rings have soft, rounded, elongated shapes; the cabochon-‐shaped earrings bear the initials of the brand and recall the medieval coats of arms of the great Florentine families.

This collection again expresses the evocative power of Nouvelle Bague creations and carries the imagination to far exotic lands, reminding one of the openwork decoration of mosques and old Venetian palazzos, and recalling rich carvings on wood and stone with the use of the soft geometric designs found in fabrics and carpets.
