Mathon Paris extends it Manhattan collection

March 2013

The Manhattan collection, icon theme of Mathon Paris, was designed in 2007; it grows today with new pieces whose names recall those of New York districts. The new line evokes the sharp buildings of “big Apple”. The fine stone baguette (peridot, amethyst, pink and green tourmaline, moonstone an aquamarine) draw a geometrical pattern borrowed from the Art Deco style.

The Tribeca line recalls the frontages of the South Manhattan former industrial district, which is today well appreciated by the artists. The Tribeca pieces celebrate a refine and design style.

The Broadway necklaces are inspirited by the famous rose of Paul Iribe, which is an emblematic design of the Art deco period. The fine stone baguettes wrap up around the centre diamond in a solar radiance. Broadway also evokes the colour explosion of the avenue of New York famous for its theaters and illuminations.

Ring Empire is made of diamonds baguette with a 0.6 ct round diamond. It pays homage to the famous tower of Manhattan, the Empire State Building. Like the huge skyscraper, this ring is the main piece of the Manhattan collection.

His little sister, the so-called Brooklyn ring, bounds Manhattan to mainland with its sinuous silhouette that recalls the one of the bridge.
