Bulgari: new Octo and Serpenti models

In addition to the latest “Barocko” designs, Bulgari introduces additions in its celebrated existing collections, Octo and Serpenti.

A

first new model is the Octo Roma Tourbillon Sapphire Malachite. Bulgari jewels are known for their color and exuberance, a story told through the use of unexpected materials and rare combinations. Now, the brand brings this aesthetic to men’s timepieces through the introduction of watches using hard stones such as malachite, jade and lapis lazuli.

A new malachite version of the Octo Roma Tourbillon Sapphire debuts with a limited edition of 30 pieces. The stone of kings, malachite was used in the Grand Trianon in Versailles, in St. Petersburg’s Cathedral St. Isaac’s, and is used to mark the 13th wedding anniversary. Though the Ural Mountains are home to some of the largest malachite mines, Bulgari’s stones are sourced in the Congo for the highest possible quality.

The new watch features a Mechanical Manufacture movement with flying tourbillon and manual winding BVL 206 caliber. Its 44-mm platinum case is set with baguette-cut diamonds and an 18-karat white gold crown. The middle case is crafted in malachite and the 18-karat white gold caliber decorated with malachite indexes — a feature that is only made possible through an exacting level of precision and artistry. The watch is worn on a green alligator strap with an 18-karat white gold folding clasp set with baguette-cut diamonds.

The second novelty is the Serpenti Misteriosi Intrecciati Secret Watch Sapphires. First launched in 2019, early versions of the Serpenti Misteriosi Intrecciati were inspired by High Jewellery pieces from the brand’s archives. Featuring a distinctive design, it combines a double-headed snake with a beaded bracelet for an organic, fluid design that wraps around the wrist beautifully.

Crafted in 18-kt rose gold, the new Serpenti Misteriosi Intrecciati secret watch features two linked Serpenti snakeheads, one of which houses the watch. Set on a bracelet made with 426 sapphire beads totaling over 100 carats, the new Serpenti model is embellished with sapphires and diamonds of var ious shapes.
